Question
How do gender orders and social reproduction in industrial regions intersect with the politics of scale and regional restructuring?
At the intersection of regional sociology and gender studies, this long-term research agenda connects industrial patriarchy and social reproduction with the politics of scale. It brings together studies of local university students’ work and job-search experiences, young people’s subject formation, developmental-state spatial strategies, megacity formation, and local extinction discourse.
